DillyDilly Becomes the First Korean Startup to Obtain an Entrepreneurial Cosmetics Trade License in Saudi Arabia

DillyDilly Co., Ltd., a global K-beauty startup with headquarters in Seoul and Dubai, has achieved a historic milestone by securing an entrepreneurial cosmetics trade license from the Saudi Ministry of Investment (MISA). This marks the first time a Korean entrepreneur has independently obtained a license in Saudi Arabia, breaking through the country's traditionally conservative market barriers without large-scale investment or a local sponsor.

With this license, DillyDilly is set to expand K-beauty’s presence in the Middle East, offering AI-powered personalized beauty solutions to address the lack of skincare data for Middle Eastern women.

Pioneering the Saudi Market: Overcoming High Entry Barriers

DillyDilly’s journey into the Middle Eastern market began with its first visit to Saudi Arabia in 2019. The company intensified its efforts in 2022 by collaborating with the Saudi Ministry of Investment, participating in in-depth interviews, and emphasizing a key issue: the significant lack of data on Middle Eastern women's skin tones and types.

To bridge this gap, DillyDilly introduced its AI-driven skincare data platform as a core vision—an initiative aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy for innovation and sustainability. This approach gained the attention of Saudi authorities, as it moves beyond simple cosmetic sales to offer personalized K-beauty solutions tailored to the local market.

K-Beauty Tailored for Middle Eastern Women

With its newly acquired license, DillyDilly will focus on more than just selling products—it aims to deliver customized beauty solutions for Middle Eastern consumers. The company’s plans include:

✅ Developing personalized cosmetics based on Middle Eastern skin data

✅ Building an optimized platform to enhance local distribution and supply chain efficiency

✅ Creating a new beauty ecosystem connecting Korea and the Middle East

Furthermore, DillyDilly will expand collaborations with Korean beauty brands and manufacturers targeting the Middle Eastern market.

By enhancing cosmetics logistics and supply chain processes, the company seeks to eliminate inefficiencies in the industry.

DillyDilly’s goal is not just to sell products, but to establish itself as a revolutionary beauty platform bridging K-beauty and the Middle East.

DillyDilly: Redefining K-Beauty’s Future in the Middle East

This milestone represents more than just market entry—it marks a new paradigm in the beauty industry, connecting Korea and the Middle East. Through this initiative, Korean cosmetic brands will have greater opportunities to enter the Middle Eastern market strategically, while consumers in the region will gain access to tailor-made K-beauty solutions designed for their unique needs.

Moving forward, DillyDilly remains committed to expanding K-beauty’s global influence, driving continuous innovation, and strengthening its presence in the Middle East. This achievement is not just a first—it is a stepping stone for future women entrepreneurs, inspiring new possibilities in the world of beauty and business.
